the instruction manual before use.
Unleaded
fuel: All Kawasaki Power Products are designed to run on
unleaded fuel. Unleaded fuel has a shelf life of 6 to 8 weeks.
How
to use a generator safely: Site the generator on
a firm level area. Check the engine oil
level daily. Fill up with fuel before starting. Stop
the engine to top up with fuel. Start the engine, then introduce
the load. Disconnect the load before stopping the engine. Using
the formula below calculate the required output. Never run on maximum
output for more than 15 minutes. When running a generator
continuously, do not exceed the rated output.
A
GENERATOR HAS THE POTENTIAL TO DELIVER A
FATAL ELECTRIC SHOCK !!!
Never operate in
direct rain or with wet hands. Never
operate in an enclosed area.
Balancing
Demand with Output:
Formula
to calculate required output.
The
output of your Kawasaki generator is measured in Watts
therefore
a GA14000A generator which has a rated output of 1050 watts will operate
up to 10 x 100w bulbs
a
1050w generator will operate at a maximum of 4.56 amps
i.e.
amps x volts = watts 4.56a x 230v = 1050w.
alternatively
watts ÷ volts = amps 1050w ÷ 230v = 4.56a
All
electrical appliances should have a manufactures plate indicating the
watts or amps required.
Simple
appliances like light bulbs, TV sets etc are easy to calculate
when working out your requirements.
Items
with motors like refrigerators, freezers, central heating boilers and
pumps etc. will take a little extra output to start.
(If
you are running several appliances with your generator always start the
appliance with the highest demand first)
If
you are unsure about overloading your generator seek qualified advice.
Try
to avoid using long cables as voltage loss may occur.
Never
connect your generator directly to your household sockets or wiring
system.
If
you wish to provide a more permanent layout to your household wiring
system
a
two way isolator switch between your electric meters and fuse box must
be installed.
This
must only be installed by a qualified electrician.

Properly
installed and regularly maintained a
Kawasaki
generator is the ideal alternative energy supply.
